Case Study

Hoju Constructions Pty Ltd

Project Size:

13.3kW Rooftop Solar

HOJU CONSTRUCTIONS PTY LTD, a dynamic construction and project management company based in NSW, has taken a major step forward in environmental leadership by adopting solar power for its head office. Known for building high-quality structures and delivering innovative design solutions, the company chose to invest in renewable energy to align its operations with modern, sustainable building principles.

In partnership with AYKA Solar, a 13.3kW rooftop solar system was installed to power the company’s daily operations. From on-site planning software to internal communications and administration, the system now drives a large portion of the business’s energy needs—reducing reliance on the grid and significantly cutting operational costs.

OBJECTIVES

HOJU CONSTRUCTIONS aimed to reduce rising electricity costs while embedding sustainability into its business practices. As a company that creates energy-efficient spaces for clients, it was important to reflect those same values internally. The objective was to improve operational efficiency, demonstrate environmental responsibility, and future-proof the business against energy price volatility—all without disrupting day-to-day productivity.

SOLUTION

AYKA Solar developed and installed a 13.3kW solar system tailored to match the company’s daytime power usage. The system was optimised with high-performance solar panels and a smart inverter solution to deliver reliable output during peak business hours. Additionally, real-time monitoring software was included to give management visibility over generation and savings at a glance.

The installation was completed with minimal interference to regular operations, thanks to meticulous planning and execution by the AYKA Solar team. From day one, HOJU CONSTRUCTIONS began benefiting from clean, cost-effective power that supports its construction projects and administrative workflow.

“As builders, we understand the importance of strong foundations—and for our business, solar is one of them. It’s a smart investment for today and the future.”

— HOJU CONSTRUCTIONS Management

CHALLENGES

The challenge was to fit a high-output system on a roof with limited usable space while maintaining optimal solar exposure throughout the day. Additionally, the installation needed to ensure safety and continuity of essential digital infrastructure and planning systems.

AYKA Solar addressed these challenges with a carefully engineered layout and robust system design, using premium components to maximise efficiency per square metre. The installation was seamless, safe, and designed for long-term performance.

THE FUTURE

After successfully switching to solar power, HOJU CONSTRUCTIONS PTY LTD is exploring more ways to boost sustainability — like adding smart lighting and solar battery storage. They’re also proud to share their clean energy journey with clients, partners, and stakeholders, using it as a real example of their commitment to a greener future. By powering its operations with the sun, HOJU is reinforcing its role as a forward-thinking builder that leads by example—creating a more sustainable future one project at a time.

“Solar energy has helped us take control of our electricity bills while demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.”
