Case Study

Octable Techlabs ANZ PTY LTD

Project Size:

6.6kW Rooftop Solar

Driven by a strong commitment to innovation and sustainable growth, Octable Techlabs ANZ PTY LTD, under the leadership of Ashly Varghese, made the strategic decision to invest in renewable energy for their NSW office. The goal was clear: reduce electricity costs, demonstrate environmental responsibility, and set an example for modern tech businesses seeking long-term energy solutions.

With the help of AYKA Solar, a 6.6kW rooftop solar system was expertly installed to match the company’s daytime energy usage. This system now provides clean power for office operations, including servers, workstations, and lighting, reducing both overheads and the business’s carbon footprint.

OBJECTIVES

As a forward-thinking technology firm, Octable Techlabs sought to align its operational practices with its values—efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. Their primary objectives were to cut down on rising electricity bills, increase energy independence, and lower their environmental impact without disrupting day-to-day business functions.

The project was also seen as a chance to showcase corporate responsibility and integrate green thinking into their business identity.

SOLUTION

AYKA Solar designed and installed a 6.6kW rooftop solar system tailored to the energy consumption patterns of the office. Despite limited roof space, the system was optimised to deliver maximum output during business hours using high-efficiency panels and a smart inverter setup.

The installation included real-time performance monitoring tools, allowing the team to track energy generation and savings at a glance. The system runs quietly and efficiently in the background, providing stable, renewable energy without interfering with IT infrastructure or workflow.

“For us, solar wasn’t just about saving on power—it was about leading with innovation and doing the right thing for our environment.”

Ashly Varghese, Director

CHALLENGES

With a smaller roof area and sensitive IT equipment in use during the day, the challenge was to create a system that delivered high output without compromising any operational aspects of the office. AYKA Solar managed the installation during low-traffic hours and ensured that all electrical integration was seamless and safe.

Careful planning and technical precision were key to delivering a high-performing system within a compact space—making the most of every panel and every ray of sunlight.

THE FUTURE

Following the successful installation, Octable Techlabs is now:
🔋 Exploring further energy-efficient upgrades for their offices
📈 Tracking live solar savings to inform future sustainability strategies
♻️ Promoting their clean energy initiative in client and stakeholder communications

“Switching to solar has helped us reduce costs and carbon emissions—without any compromises. It’s a win for our business and the planet.”

Ashly Varghese, Director
