Fox ESS rolls out stackable battery system in Australia

Chinese energy‐technology firm Fox ESS has launched its modular EQ4800 high-voltage battery system in Australia, aimed at residential and commercial markets. The system can scale from 4.66 kWh (one module) up to 41.93 kWh by stacking up to nine modules in series.

Each EQ4800 module utilises lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry and supports 100 % depth of discharge, with a round-trip efficiency exceeding 95 %.

The system is designed for plug-and-play installation and supports remote monitoring through web or mobile apps

Rated IP65, the modules are suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. In Australia, Fox ESS is offering a 10-year warranty guaranteeing at least 70 % retention of battery

The battery system is interoperable with Fox’s newly released H3 Smart three-phase hybrid inverter series (from 5 kW to 15 kW).

The inverters boast a maximum efficiency of 97.9 % and allow up to 200 % PV oversizing. The H3 Smart models include features such as DC switch, insulated resistance monitoring, reverse polarity protection, anti-islanding, AC overcurrent protection, and DC surge protection. Fox also offers a stackable all-in-one energy storage system with capacities between 3.7 kW and 11 kW.
